Oh how many hours I have spent trying to install wireless modems. They seem to have personalities of their own. It depends on the brand I have found as to how to unit performs, but there is usually always one minor problem that keeps popping up. Stick with it and ask for help and you will resolve the issues. When is someone going to invent a wireless modem stick that works first time every time?

This particular model is not the only hunk of gateway junk I have come across. Another similar Gateway model died on me while sitting on the shelf. Yes! that is correct. I had reinstalled windows, drivers, some software and updates and than turned it off and put on my shelf. Few weeks later, when I try to turn it on, I find out that the main board on the notebook is cold dead. Just like that!!

Wholly wah, I am working on this very model Gateway for my sister, having these very woes. This was very easy to read and understand. I now head out with this new knowledge to try and fix the junk machine.
